This briefing note gives information regarding a proposed ‘Anti Trump Protest March’ through Nottingham City Centre on Monday 20th February, at 17:30 hours. A crowd of approximately 1000 people will participate.
This is part of a national march organised in Nottingham, by Nottingham People’s Assembly supported by the Nottingham National Union of Teachers, Nottingham Stand up to Racism, Nottingham Stop the War and East Midlands CND.

‘’On 20 February, Parliament will debate whether Trump is allowed to make an official state visit to the UK. Theresa May has invited him, but since then nearly 2 million have signed a petition saying Trump isn’t welcome here. Let’s #standuptoTrump – no to Islamophobia, no to racism, no to sexism.
We will march from the Forest Recreation ground – meeting near the Homemade Cafe from 5.30 – to the Market Square.’’
The march will commence at the Forest Recreation Ground at 17:30. The route will be:
Forest Recreation Ground – Mansfield Road – Milton Street – Upper Parliament Street to Speakers Corner in the Market Square.

An action plan will be devised to mitigate the effects on the Public Highway at 17:30 on Monday 20th February 2017.
Nottinghamshire Police have been advised by telephone and email
